This 30-hour course includes a review of agency relationships in real estate sales transactions and a real estate agent’s legal duties to clients and customers, a step-by-step review and discussion of the functions and responsibilities of a real estate agent when working with residential sellers and buyers, a review of issues associated with agent compensation and agents changing firms, and a review of license status and education issues. NC LAW, RULES AND LEGAL CONCEPTS**

**Students who took the Selected Topics course will NOT get credit for also taking the new 303 NC Law, Rules and Legal Concepts course. Only one or the other will apply to their post-licensing credit.**

This 30-hour course's primary objective is to provide instruction at a level beyond that provided in Prelicensing courses on topics deemed to be of special importance. Topics addressed in this course include general North Carolina licensing requirements, brokerage compensation issues, the disciplinary process, specialized types of real estate, property management in NC, and miscellaneous NC laws and legal concepts.
